Habitat Home Build in May
As part of a commitment to east Aurora, two years ago there was an auction and dinner held at CCC to raise money for a Habitat for Humanity home in memory of Kevin Kelso. We have waited patiently and have now secured an abandoned foreclosure home in East Aurora. This home will be gutted and rehabbed down to the studs. The first building days will be Thursday, May 15th and Saturday, May 17th if all goes as planned. We will continue to work every Thursday and Saturday until the house is complete.
We are looking for donations from contractors or individuals for new materials such as drywall, flooring, insulation, cabinets, garage door, front door and screen, vinyl siding, gutters, roofing, carpeting, windows, entire kitchen, some plumbing and electrical, painting and more. We will also be having volunteer work crews working on Thursdays and/or Saturdays. If you would like more information or to be included on email updates about this project, email RonKelso@sbcglobal.net.
Hey Eric and Deb, so what can we do to get you to post this stuff on communitychristian.org? Seems like a natural fit to post it on the church web site and it's so easy now! Lemme know...
